 ( 5- MIT APP INVENTOR 


  • As a student of PGCE course, learning using MIT APP INVENTOR to create an educational app was of a challenge task. At start i found it very complex to build in the app but while creating several screen, it became easy enough to understand how an app could facilitate teaching and learning. 

  • The purpose of this app is to facilitate Art Students to learn about colour. Using various images will help them see and understand its different properties and in which color theory they are categorised in. More, students will be able to learn key words and obtain feedback from wrong answers.

  • The MIT APP contain simple questions, images, labelling and so on to test the students knowledge and their level of understanding. This way while being at home or even when there is online teaching, the students may easily get access to the app using their mobile phone. 

  • Challenges and Impact of MIT APP

  1. Understanding programming may be quite challenging for a beginner.
  2. Building the APP is time consuming
  3. Some schools may lack sufficient computers or devices to run the software effectively.
  • Impact
  1. Helps teachers make lessons more interactive and relatable by incorporating real-world applications.
  2. Encourages creativity and innovation in teaching methods.
